The Lions Pajama party is annual in January and provides donations of pajamas of all sizes. Terri Davenport, Financial Officer, and Pat Murrey, volunteer, explained that the ABC Room is an in-house emergency resource center that distributes new items, such as clothing, diapers, and formula, to clients of CPS caseworkers and investigators. Van Zandt County Community Partners strive to ensure that the ABC Room is stocked with everything a child, from newborn to 18 years old, would need in an emergency situation when the child is taken out of their home due to neglect, abuse and/or drugs. The ABC Room’s only fundraising event is the Annual Bunco Celebration being held February 20 in the Deen Building at the Russell Memorial United Methodist Church in Wills Point from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch will be provided by the Canton St. Therese Catholic Church Ladies Guild.
