Body County athletes representing Canton, Van and Wills Point made their way to the Texas A&M campus in Commerce April 29-30 to compete against one another and some of the top programs from across East Texas at the Class 4A Region II Meet.

Body The Canton Eagles stayed busy last week, hitting the field three times over a five-day span. Canton would go 1-2 overall in those matchups, downing Mabank before coming up short against Van and Edgewood.

Body The Canton track team made its way west to Sunnyvale last week, competing against athletes from Athens, Brownsboro, Kaufman, Mabank, Nevada Community, Quinlan Ford, Sunnyvale, Terrell, Van and Wills Point at the Area Meet.

Body The ETA1 16 Black volleyball team recently won the 16 American Division at the 2022 Lone Star Volleyball Classic and earned a berth in the upcoming USAV National Tournament in Indianapolis this July.

Body The Canton Eaglettes entered the final Tuesday night of the regular season with a golden opportunity, tangling with district-leading Mabank in a key showdown that could ultimately determine playoff seeding.

Body The Canton Eaglette golf program punched its ticket to the State Golf Tournament last week, outdueling some of the top teams in the area to finish third overall at the Class 4A Region II Golf Tournament held at Van Zandt Country Club April 20-21.
