Eagles fall to Pinkston in Area round

Body The Canton Eagles hopes for an extended postseason run would come to an end last Friday, as they dropped their second-round matchup to Dallas Pinkston, 59-38. Canton would earn a trouncing victory over Texarkana Pleasant Grove, 58-41, on Tuesday, Feb.

Canton captures fourth-straight district title

Body The Canton Eagles season- long chase for a fourthstraight district championship came to fruition last week, as wins over Mabank and Athens granted the Eagles their fourth ‘golden ball’ trophy in as many years.

Softball program races to 7-0 start

Body The Canton Eaglette softball program wasted little time in finding their midseason form to being their 2023 campaign, winning all seven games played over a five-day stretch last week. The Eaglettes officially began their new season Feb.

Body The Canton Eaglettes hopes of a district title were quickly dismissed last week, as the Van Lady Vandals dominated Canton 46-21, subsequently securing the district title for Van.

Canton loss sets up muddled district finish

Body The Canton Eagles could not take advantage of their trump card this past week, as a last-second loss to Lindale kept the race for District 16-4A alive and well. The Eagles would open the week on the road, for a midweek matchup with rival Van.
