Van Zandt County has petitioned and obtained an order from the 294th Judicial District against Defendants: Taaleri Energia North America, LLC, BT Amador Storage, LLC, Amador Bess Holdings, Inc., Renewable Energy Systems Americas, Inc., and Belltown Texas Power 2, LLC.

Contract to address courthouse restoration of windows approved, 3-2

In a 3-2 vote during their regular meeting April 9, the Van Zandt County Commissioners Court approved a contract with Komatsu Architecture of Fort Worth. The $90,000 contract with Komatsu Architecture will be for design development, construction documents, permitting and regulatory review, and bidding for restoration of the VZC Courthouse windows and doors.

Van Zandt County Fair and Rodeo concludes

FAITH CAUGHRON Correspondent The 67th annual Van Zandt County Fair and Rodeo ended April 5 and was held in conjunction with the Junior Livestock Market Animal Shows. The market animal shows were held on Wednesday, April 1, and the Ag Mechanics competitions took place Monday, March 30.

Three proclamations approved by commissioners

Three proclamations received unanimous approval from the Van Zandt County Commissioners Court during its April 9 meeting. The proclamations recognized the month of April as Child Abuse and Neglect Awareness Month, Fair Housing Month, and Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
